Designing
Here at The Sewing Rooms we also offer a bespoke design service with the in house fashion designer Arlene. Arlene will have a personal consultation with each client to see what their design needs are form the client bringing their design ideas through images found online. Arlene will design with the client to create a unique and personal design that suits the clients needs and style for their big day through an illustration and fabric swatches.
There will then be a pattern plotted and cut for the individual garment creating a couture piece for the client. A toile (an early version of a finished garment made up in cheaper material, to perfect the piece) will then be made so the client can try on the design to ensure it is exactly what they are looking for. The fabrics will then be confirmed and finally the garment made and fitted to the clients body for a couture fit.
